A Diamond in the rough
Located within the former American Silk factory in Frankford, we feature a 1,000-square foot dining room with 16-foot ceilings, as well as a 700-square foot kitchen and a 19 foot bar. The dining room will seat up to 60 people, or up to 80 guests for cocktail-style events.
Chef Garfinkel will be bringing his world-class and highly-regarded cuisine to the new space at American Silk, allowing the Balboa team to continue to produce high-quality food, but in a much bigger and better space.
The new Balboa Catering at American Silk will host private events, cooking classes, and Supper Clubs. It will also feature a one acre 'farmette' which Chef Alex said he will not only utilize to grow produce for our business, but also to help offer low-cost, subsidized produce to our neighbors in the community.
Sculpture and Designer, Steven Earl Weber, has designed a gorgeous dinning room for our venue. Steven has hand painted the walls in black waves that ripple off of a stunning gold boat that hangs from the ceiling. The ambiance is lux, bold and bright with a very cool vibe.
